Quantum Computing in Drug Discovery beyond the Hype - how far are we from useful applications?

Classical Computer-aided Drug Discovery methods are fundamentally limited, but Quantum algorithms will enable true in-silico drug discovery. Today, Quantum Computing is still very far away from giving direct ROI for Drug Discovery; however, it is growing exponentially in key benchmarks. QC is hard to implement and adopt, so a long monitoring & adoption time is necessary. The MIT Quantum Index Report will help with objective tracking & benchmarking of the progress of all active quantum computing providers.
