Sartorius’ AAV Testing Services provide comprehensive, cGMP-compliant analytical support for adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector products across development and manufacturing. The services help characterize AAV vectors and evaluate safety, purity, potency, and other critical quality attributes required for regulatory compliance and product release.
Key elements include:
• AAV characterization & quantification: assays to measure AAV identity, capsid titer, empty/full ratio, and other vector quality attributes.
• Biosafety and contaminant testing: tests to detect microbial contaminants, adventitious viruses, and genetic stability.
• Residual testing (focus): identification and quantification of process-related impurities retained in the AAV product, such as residual host cell DNA, host cell proteins, plasmid DNA, transfection reagents, and other process reagents. These assays confirm that residuals are below acceptable safety limits and help support regulatory requirements. (general industry practice for viral vector testing, comparable to Sartorius offerings)
