Our dynamic adherent bioreactor defines a new category of cultivation systems: it combines adherent cell biology with true bioprocess automation. Through rotation, perfusion, and sensors, the system behaves like a modern bioreactor — specifically designed for adherent cell cultures. Manual handling steps are drastically reduced, while process control, scalability, and reproducibility are significantly increased.
The system, based on the CellScrew® geometry, addresses a core dilemma in cell culture: choosing between complex manual processes with simple equipment, and simple, automated processes with complex equipment.
With automated harvesting, full control of pH, oxygen, and temperature, and a pre-assembled single-use setup, this novel bioreactor enables scaling from research through clinical phases to commercialization. The result is reliable, GMP-ready processes with lower complexity and reduced costs — without compromising adherent cell biology.
